Purpose
The Midwest Gateway Chapter HIMSS is an organization of individuals devoted to improving the delivery of healthcare through system development and application. Current member-ship includes management engineers, healthcare information systems and telecommunications professionals, clinicians, consultants, hospital administrators, health care planners, medical records administrators, faculty and students. This local organization is a sanctioned, affiliated chapter of national Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS).
Membership
Membership in the Midwest Gateway Chapter HIMSS is open to all persons who are active or interested in the field of healthcare management, management engineering, or information systems. Most of our 200-plus members are employed by a hospital or healthcare provider. Consulting firms, information technology vendors and students also are represented.
Programs
Half-day programs are held quarterly to keep members informed on changes within the complex and changing healthcare environment. These provide an opportunity to:
