The MGC HIMSS Student Mentorship program is a one-year commitment between mentors and their assigned students. During the next twelve months, they will be encouraged to communicate with each other on a regular basis by telephone, email or in-person meetings. Mentors will also assist their students in developing a “Career Path” plan to identify strengths and areas of improvement for the student, as well as help define avenues of interest in the healthcare IT industry that best suit their students’ career goals/personality traits. We will also encourage them to attend the educational sessions/forums organized by MGC HIMSS, that would be a great opportunity to meet with each other as well as benefit from our educational sessions.
